Sundress season is the best time of the year. I suppose most people call this time summer, but I think “sundress season” is much more appropriate. At least for me, but I know I’m not alone in this.
While scrolling around the other day in some down time, I was inspired by a fashion article talking about ‘French girl’ style. What really inspired and stood out to me was the constant rotation of light-weight, flirty sundress styles.
With this in mind, I scoured the web to find some similar pieces. To my dismay, of course, all of these dresses are expensive. When I came to think about it, the amount of sundresses I have and the amount that I want certainly doesn’t justify me buying one dress for $200+.
That same day I just happened to head to my local mall after work with a friend. Not really looking for anything in particular, I actually stumbled upon a great dress that really gave me those ‘French girl’ vibes. To make things better, it was on sale and only cost me $24.
This dress was only $24. I got it from Aeropostale, which before you judge me, may I say that they have for sure stepped up their style game. They actually had so many cute dresses and tanks for super cheap prices. Needless to say, these aren’t the best quality pieces, but for a summer sundress that I’m going to wear a handful of times, I’m pretty happy.
All about the Details
What I love about this dress and why it stood out to me is the tie-front detail on the chest. Plus, the super cute flutter sleeves add just a touch more of that flirty look. These things really took it from just a plain, floral printed tank dress to a cute little day-time number.
Shop my Dress
Unfortunately, I can’t link this exact dress because it appears that they must be out of stock. However, I have linked a few other options here, here and here that give me those flirty ‘French girl’ vibes too.
What’s your favorite summer style? Is it a sundress, like me? Or a go-to pair of denim cutoffs? Let me know in the comments below!
