Valentine’s Day needs no introduction. It is a day loved by many and hated by some. Whether you are spending quality time with yourself this year, or with a significant other / friend, these are my top 5 cute Valentine’s Day date ideas, which are packed with fun and potential booze-filled moments.
Mani / Pedi’s
Getting a mani / pedi is something that you can easily do on your own, or with others. Its relaxing, fun and not crazy expensive. I have even managed to get my boyfriend onto the pedicure train recently, and he now loves to go. It’s an easy and relaxing date idea, whether you with someone or alone! Many salons now will allow you bring in your own booze, too. Some even offer it. Just be sure to check before you go.
Art Museums
What is a better way to spend some quiet, quality time with your loved one than at an art museum? Often times admission is free, and you have wander the halls for hours. Try coming up with theories and explanations for your favorite pieces, and sharing these ideas with whom you brought. It’s a fun way to breach into each others creative side, and can end up being funny, too.
Valentine’s Day Bar Crawl
Whats a better idea for Valentine’s Day than heading on a bar crawl? Map out your favorite spots, or pick out some new must-try places ahead of time. Set time limits for each stop and see how many drinks or snacks you can get through during the day. Just remember to have a ride home, or call an Uber! You can get $5 off your first Uber ride with my code, torip1010ue.Take a
Staycation
What is a staycation, you ask? A staycation is typically a mini-vacation taken within your home state, or inside your very own home. You can go either way with this one. If you don’t want to travel far, book an AirBnB or hotel room for a night inside your home city. It can be a fun way to experience new restaurants and neighborhoods, and gets you out of your house. I love this idea, and plan on taking one to Columbus (one and a half hours from where I live) to a dog friendly hotel & brewery!
Better Yet, Travel Far
Staycations are great when you’re in need of a mini-vacation. But why not go all out full-vacation? Book a flight and skip town to somewhere on your bucket list. If I was able to, I would be heading to Greece this Valentine’s day! Make sure to check Skiplagged for daily flight deals. You can earn a $10 credit with Skiplagged by using this link to book your flight!
No matter your Valentine’s Day plans, or if you are spending it solo, enjoy the day and make it a positive one.
