Packing for a beach vacation might seem like a simple task. When it comes down to the last few minutes before hitting the road, make sure you don’t leave home without these vacation essentials. Here is what to take to the beach from the perspective of a self-declared beach bum.
1. Sunscreen
You might be thinking, duh, sunscreen! But, have you thought about what sunscreen is actually beneficial for your skin? Making the switch to quality, clean sunscreen products can help keep your skin youthful and healthy. Making sure to always bring a face specific product as well as one for your body. 2. Beach Blanket
Beach towel, beach blanket. Whats the difference? A beach blanket is larger in size than a traditional beach or bath towel. When you decide to grab the blanket versus lugging around a heavy beach chair, you’re going to realize size truly does matter. At least when it comes to keeping your sweaty body off the hot sand.
3. Shade
What is the best method for making sure you can find some salvation from the sun during a long hot day at the ocean? Bringing your own shade! Whether you opt for an umbrella or a canopy, my favorite recommendations can be found below.
4. Cooler Bag
While I will admit that the viral Yeti coolers are amazing, they are large, heavy and bulky to carry around. If you have any more than a quarter mile walk to the beach, this is not an ideal way to keep your beach beverages cold. My favorite option is to use an insulated tote bag. It makes life easier when lugging around your White Claws. Plus these tote bags generally come equipped with pockets for your keys, phone and other essentials you want to keep out of the sand.
5. Waterproof Pouch
If you’re like me and you like to have your phone handy for all the of the potential photo opportunities, having a waterproof pouch on hand to keep your tech gadgets safe and sand free is a great idea. A simple ziplock bag will even suffice for this!
6. Wireless Speaker
Whats a beach day without music? A pretty boring one! My favorite wireless speaker to throw into my cooler bag for the beach is a waterproof JBL Flip. Its worked great every time I have used it!
