When I am proposed the choice of shopping online versus shopping in store, I almost always opt for online. As a person who hates crowds and the constant asking of “Are you still doing ok?”, the online shopping world really understands my personality. I can take my time and look at everything that the brand is currently offering. There are always almost a vast amount of sizes available, and I can avoid unnecessary small talk. In this post, I am listing What to Buy on Amazon, based off of my personal experiences.

What to Buy on Amazon

When I am asked about where my favorite place to shop online is, I almost always include Amazon. While there are many, Amazon definitely is in the top 5. I probably end up ordering something, or many things, off of Amazon every two weeks. From dog toys and laundry soap to cardigans and beauty products, they offer an ease of one-stop shopping with thousands of brands. Plus, as a Prime member, the 2 day shipping is key.

When in a pinch, having the option for Prime 2-day shipping is a blessing. While I was browsing online yesterday looking for an outfit to wear to a formal dinner this weekend, and I came across this over sized sweater dress. I am so excited to style it with a waist-belt and boots for my Saturday night plans. I chose the White color, and in size XL (I am usually an XS or Small), based off the reviews for the more over sized fit. Also because I am a bit taller, and hate short dresses on myself.

Another great clothing purchase I have made via Amazon is the leopard cardigan linked above. I’m sure you have seen it all over your social media, it has become a hit among fashion bloggers. Probably due to its great price point (under $30) and awesome quality! I have already worn mine three times this week, lol. It definitely ranks high up in my What to Buy on Amazon list.

Amazon Purchases

If you have been following me for a while, or have browsed through my older posts, you may have come across my Affordable Swimwear for Spring post, linked here. It covers my favorite Amazon swimsuits, all of which are under $25 and great quality. You would never know they were from Amazon, and I have since only bought swimsuits from Amazon because of my great experiences and love for these. I’m re-linking my favorites, but I would still take a peek at my Affordable Swimwear for Spring post to see how they fit. You get a better idea of what they look like in real life in this post, and why they are on my What to Buy on Amazon list.

If you haven’t checked out my SHOP MY FAVORITES page yet, this is where I link and update my favorite fall finds and trends. A lot of the page is dedicated to my current favorite shoes and boots on the market right now. Most of which are available on Amazon, and I have linked my favorites in my Amazon Storefront, and below as well. A few of these babies are on my personal wish list! I need to pick just one..

Home Goods

I have bought a wide range of home goods from Amazon. Anywhere from laundry detergent, to dog toys, to full-length mirrors, frying pans and dressers. I have tried it all. Most of which, were great buys that I love. From my personal experience, what to buy on amazon in the home goods category, can be found below. Make sure to always read the reviews, and leave one if you remember to.

However, one purchase that I hate to say it, sucks, is the dresser I bought. I knew I was taking a risk when ordering a full-sized dresser off of Amazon, and for under $200. But, I did it anyway. Since arriving in July, two of the drawers have broken and the drawer sizes themselves are shallow and fit hardly any clothes. Sadly, this was my own fault and I have since had to replace it with a better quality one. Win some, lose some, I suppose.

I am a huge advocate for Amazon’s customer service. Once when I ordered a product through a different retailer, but using Amazon Pay (similar to PayPal), my order got lost in the mail. The company I ordered through refused to send me a replacement product, or refund me. All it took to get my money back was a quick email to Amazon, and within a day they had credited my account with the funds. I have had other small experiences regarding their customer service too that have all ended with me being happy and having a satisfied resolution. They have always either credited my account, refunded me, or sent over a replacement. I have yet to be dissatisfied and hope to keep it that way.

Anyway, the point of this rant is to express how I tend to be a little more loyal towards Amazon when I am buying something, because I know if something does happen, they have the tendency to make it right. Do you have a favorite Amazon purchase? Let me know in the comments below!
