In my opinion, there is no better summer evening plan than to take a trip to a local vineyard. I have been making an effort to explore my new town more, and the Michael Angelo Vineyard was one stop I absolutely loved. For a Friday night, it was expectedly packed. We managed to get seats on the patio after purchasing a house bottle of Chardonnay. We enjoyed the warm weather and oncoming sunset. Although I prefer red, I was wearing an all-white outfit and have a problem with constantly spilling on myself.. Just ask anyone I am close with, they will roll their eyes and tell you all about it. Although, Chardonnay and Chanel does seem like a perfect match, so I was happy none the less.

While this isn’t something I would imagine wearing to a vineyard, I was not sure what my plans were going to consist of when I got dressed. By the time my best friend got to my apartment to pick me up, I didn’t feel like changing. The last time I was at a vineyard was about two summers ago in the Hamptons. With some new friends, we spent our evening do wine tastings and exploring the vineyards. While dodging staff to avoid getting yelled at for wondering where we weren’t supposed to. My friend and I basically re-created that evening this Friday as we adventured over to the vineyard which was fenced off to prevent such activities.

I wore white Levi jeans, in my favorite Wedgie fit, with an old knit Zara tank. Spot the tear in the neckline, that happened as I was putting it on but did not care enough to take it off. I broke up the all-white with a black leather and silver Chanel belt, and matching bag. The Chardonnay and Chanel pairing exuded summer chic. These shoes killed my feet, I do not recommend. But, they are cute, and have a thicker heel to prevent sinking in the grass.

As summer comes to a close, I am trying to get my love for white on white outfits out of my system. With only a few more weeks until Labor day, the old fashion rule of “no white after labor day” is approaching. I never used to adhere to this rule, but have found myself starting to more as I get older. I’m not sure why, or if I will continue to, but I have noticed myself pulling these jeans out more as the date approaches. What do you think about the old labor day rule? Leave a comment with your feelings at the bottom of this post.
